Hampi is a UNESCO world heritage site and the former capital of the Vijayanagar kingdom. Our travel packages allows you to marvel at architectural splendour while also being shocked by human disdain for such splendour. Even in its devastated state, Hampi exudes appeal. Discover Karnataka’s royal history. During the reign of the Vijayanagara dynasty, the last Hindu state on the Indian peninsula, Hampi attained its pinnacle of reputation and wealth. Following a series of raids by the Muslim Sultanate, Hampi fell to savage destruction and plunder that lasted more than six months. Hampi, once Asia’s second largest city, has been reduced to ruins and abandoned. Parts of Hampi were reclaimed by nature, with trees and caves sprouting up everywhere. The enormous temple complexes became home to bears, leopards, and wild bores. Hampi Tour Packages From bangalore Are a very big attractions for travellers from india and all over the world. Best Tourist Attractions – Hampi Tour Packages

Vijaya Vittala

The Musical Pillars Temple: One of Hampi’s most popular attractions, and well worth the visit. The Vijaya Vittala temple complex is unquestionably Hampi’s most famous temple. Vittala temple is famous for the stone chariot in the temple complex, which is now featured on the 50 rs Indian currency note. It also has melodic pillars. If you hire a guide, he will demonstrate how the pillars play music for the tourists.

Vijaya Vittala’s temple complex is enormous! There are numerous structures, and the gate is a 2-kilometer walk away. Take a trip in an electric tuk tuk operated by local women for a little INR 20.This is Hampi’s most well-known temple. Vijaya Vittala, unsurprisingly, gets a large number of people, both locals and foreigners. If you enjoy photography, go to Vittala Vijaya in the early morning and snap the sunrise. It opens at 6 a.m.

Hampi’s urban ruins

Explore the remains of palaces and monuments that were once utilised by kings and queens! Please notice that during the lunch hour, the temples of Hampi are closed to visitors. This time can be spent exploring the city. One by one, examine the queen’s bath, the step well, the elephant stable, the lotus temple, the zenana enclosure, and the Mahanavami Dibba.

The urban ruins did not suffer the same level of damage as Hampi’s religious sites. The stone elephants’ trunks were only hacked off. With curved arches on the tips of the towering pillars, the lotus mahal epitomises Indo-Islamic architecture. The area is carpeted in lush grass, which is appropriate for a temporary seat. You can take a break and resume walking.

The most beautiful temple in Hampi, in my opinion, is Hazararama temple, which is located next to Mahanabami dibba. The Ramayana stories are carved into the walls of Hazara Rama. You could easily spend a whole day reading those tales.

Hemakutha Hills for Sunset Viewing

Searching for the most magnificent Sunset Spot that is also a short hike.To round off the day, make your way to the top of Hemakuta hill. The ascent is not particularly difficult. On top of Hemakuta hill, there are numerous temples. You are free to experiment with your camera and take as many photos as you wish.

Unbound green grasslands, the river Tungabhadra, numerous temple ruins, and a setting sun meet your gaze from the top of Hemakuta.

The Statue of Narasimha

The Narasimha statue is a one-of-a-kind representation of Vishnu, one of the Hindu Trinity. In the entire country of India, there are only a handful narasimha statues. As a testament of the havoc that raged in Hampi, the deity’s hands are hacked off in the Hampi temple. Nara and Simha, the lion-man, are both translated as Narasimha.

The Narasimha statue has a powerful presence. Close by, the Big Shivalinga is housed in a modest sanctuary and is cared for by an elderly priest. This is another lovely tiny location in Hampi that few visitors are aware of.

Virupasksha temple is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site in Hampi.

Proceed to the Virupaksha temple now. Virupaksha temple, located near Hampi Bazar, is a live temple, a notable stop on India’s pilgrimage route, and, in short, Hampi’s heart.Virupasksha temple is a popular Hindu pilgrimage site in Hampi. Lord Shiva is honoured in this temple. There are enormous Gopurams and flanking pillars with exquisite inscriptions.A gigantic Nandi, Shiva’s bull, is placed inside a pillar opposite the Virupaksha temple. In fact, every south Indian temple features Nandi seated atop or near the temple. The Nandi bulls of Hampi are very massive.
